I'm becomming more and more convinced that comedy is far more effective at debunking bullshit than ordinary argument ever could be. At this link, Jon Stewart interviews a panel of "experts" whose remarks illustrate just how insane some of the opponents of health care reform are.
Both clips are funny, but the clip with the panel interview is the best.

Wasn't your buddy/hero Socrates the first extant to employ humor as tactic? Just think what he would have done with his own telecast talk/satire hour.
Not sure if you have read Palin's actual comments about "death panels" but here is her attempt to expalin her comments somewhat: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=116471698434
You might consider her argument weak, but at least she she does make an attempt to explain her position and cites some sources as well.
