For those of us who were in small groups, or accountability teams, some of the practices described with suspicion by the left Talkers like Rachel Maddow, were pretty familiar -- the progressive nature of trying to turn a fellow believer from the wrong path, you confront the person in private, you move on to group counseling, and then to shunning -- doesn't appear that the Family did any shunning since staying in places of influence mattered more than getting your life back on the path of righteousness. The most offensive thing about Sanford and Ensign and Pickering was how self-righteous they were about the sins of others (and the need for the others to resign) while they cling to their offices now. If the C-Street House was meant to keep these powerful officials accountable while living and working in the great whore Babylon, it appears to have failed.
