On Prosecuting Torture . . . My Sentiments Exactly

This is a very good summary argument explaining why it is imperative that we punish torture and the officials who ordered it, and what it says about the American people if we follow Obama's lead and "look to the future."

And this piece, by Andrew Sullivan, is a must read for anyone who cares about the character of our democracy.

I hope you will support equally the investigation of all political leaders in congress, both Democrats & Republicans, who were briefed numerous times about "torture practices" and failed to raise any objections at that time:

Absolutely! Prosecute anyone who knew about this and had any role in authorizing it as a government official. Democrat or republican or independent.
